In Chinese cuisine, it is used for stir fry, steamed dishes, broiled, or as stuffing for steamed buns and pastries. Another ethnic cuisine such as Vietnamese style serves it raw as a wrap for its famous crispy fried spring rolls dipped in house sauce.
